Tesla motor electromagnetism
Tesla cars have a powerful battery which is electrically powered, Tesla's use an alternating current battery (AC). Tesla’s motor broke with previous direct current (DC) motors by eliminating the need for a commutator. Tesla uses lithium ion batteries in order to power up their cars. These batteries weigh several thousand pounds , they are all made at the headquarters of Tesla bay area. So how are these bad boys different from a hybrid like the Toyota Prius? Well The hybrid vehicles use hydrocarbon fuel along with the battery in order to cater the power requirements while Tesla's are purely electric.
"Most electric motors operate through the interaction between the motor's magnetic field and electric current in a wire winding to generate force in the form of rotation of a shaft". In hybrid cars, the battery recharges automatically while you drive, but it would not happen in Tesla cars. You will need to recharge the battery and you can do it at a charging outlet or even at your home. A Prius will also be a little more affordable so if you are looking for a Tesla but can't afford it, GET A PRIUS IT'S PRACTICALLY THE SAME THING!
